ONLINE SURVEY - STUDY ON MALAYSIA'S MEDICAL DEVICE INDUSTRY BY UNIVERSITI MALAYA

Online Survey – Study on Malaysia’s Medical Device Industry by Universiti Malaya
The research team at Universiti Malaya (UM) is conducting a study on Barriers, Risks, and Regulations in Malaysia’s Medical Device Industry, funded by the Medical Device Authority (MDA) Malaysia. Medical devices have been identified as a priority sector under the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030. Despite its potential, the industry remains relatively underdeveloped, with limited understanding of its challenges and a continued reliance on imported high-tech devices. This study aims to assess the internal and external barriers influencing the industry’s growth.
The survey is organized into four sections:
• Section A: Company Profile
• Section B: Internal Barriers, Trade Barriers, and External Risks
• Section C: Supply Chain Linkages and Disruptions
• Section D: Streamlining Regulation and Driving Innovation
As the principal investigator of this research, I would like to invite you to participate in this online survey. The intended respondents are medical device companies operating in Malaysia.
